What are Wrinkle Relaxers?

Wrinkle Relaxers are solutions injected into the skin which block the nerve signals that cause muscles to contract. This aesthetic injectable is most commonly used to relax frown lines (between the eyebrows), forehead lines, and ‘smile lines’ around the eyes. Wrinkle Relaxers can give the face a more rested appearance without changing one’s overall facial expression.

What can Wrinkle Relaxers do?

In the hands of an experienced technician, the possibilities are endless. The lateral portion of the eyebrows can be lifted, wrinkles around the mouth, chin and neck can be reduced, and overly-square jawlines can be diminished. Wrinkle Relaxers can also be used to reduce 'gummy smiles,' treat hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) of the hands and underarms as well as certain types of migraines.

What is the procedure?

Wrinkle Relaxers are administered by diluting the powder in saline and injecting it directly into the muscles that cause wrinkles. The injections take only a few minutes with little discomfort. Effects begin to show in 2-7 days and can last anywhere from 3-6 months. Typically, a visit every 3-4 months will keep the previous wrinkles from returning AND prevent new ones from forming.
