Lip reduction

Choose the smile you desire with lip reduction surgery

Lip reduction has been a growing trend in recent years. The procedure involves removing skin from the lips along the vermillion (the pink/red part of the lips) to create a smaller, thinner pout.

What can I expect?

Lip reduction is done as an outpatient procedure. Patients are usually placed under local anaesthesia during the procedure, which takes between 15 and 30 minutes per lip, depending on the amount of tissue to be removed. The stitches remain in place for one week, after which they dissolve on their own. Post-procedure pain is tolerable, but patients are advised to eat a soft diet until the swelling resolves, which can take anywhere from a couple of days to a week.
